Christopher M. Walsh

Christopher M. Walsh is a writer and actor. Originally from Muskegon, MI, he moved to Chicago to study acting at Columbia College. Before joining WildClaw he was a two-time Deathscribe finalist with his radio plays Comparing Notes at the End of the World (2012) and Fracture Zone (2014 – winner of the coveted Bloody Axe Award). He also contributed the one-act play The Hunters to WildClaw’s live horror anthology Motel 666. Other plays include the Sherlock Holmes pastiche Miss Holmes, and adaptations of The Count of Monte Cristo, China MiĆ©ville’s The City and The City, Austin Grossman’s Soon I Will Be Invincible, and he was nominated for a Jeff Award in 2014 for his adaptation of A Tale of Two Cities.
He has performed with a number of Chicago companies including the House Theatre of Chicago, the Factory Theater Company, Strawdog Theatre, A Red Orchid Theatre, Black Sheep Productions, Backstage Theatre, Griffin Theatre, Right Brain Project, and City Lit. He is a member of the artistic ensemble at Lifeline Theatre, where he has appeared in several shows including Neverwhere, Watership Down, and Monstrous Regiment.
He read his first Stephen King story when he was 11, and he firmly believes this quote: “The thing under my bed waiting to grab my ankle isn’t real.
